Robin is committed to improving the nutrition and physical activity of children. She uses her background in international events, four presidential campaigns, the federal government and local community organizing to bring stakeholders together to develop strategies for the Let's Move! campaign. Her perspective as a mom inspires her to share the same goal as First Lady Michelle Obama: reduce the rates of childhood obesity in a generation so that kids born today can reach adulthood at a healthy weight.
Over the past 20 years, Robin Schepper's career has spanned many arenas. She worked on various public health and safety campaigns including increasing childhood immunization rates, the national seat belt campaign and most recently Safe Routes to School where she helped her son's school win the National Safe Routes to School Oberstar Award in 2009. Schepper's experience includes international events, she spent four years working for the Athens 2004 Olympic Games as a communications consultant; as deputy communications director for the 1998 G-8 Summit and as a consultant to the 50th anniversary of NATO.
Robin plays sports with her husband and two active sons every chance she gets.
